The term “dashboard” originates from the automobile dashboard where drivers monitor the major functions at a glance via the instrument panel. The corporate world tried for years to come up with a solution that would tell them if their business needed maintenance or if the temperature of their business was running above normal.
In the current business terms, “dashboard” is another name for “progress report” or “report.” Often the dashboard is displayed on a web page that is linked to a database which allows the report to be constantly updated.
This webinar will demonstrate how the Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) uses dashboards for executive reporting of the capital budgets at the program and project level. Listen to Mike Francisco, AVP of Construction & Financial Management at HCA Healthcare Systems to discuss their experience and best practices.
